Noi, organizzazione che lavora sul futuro democratico ed ecologico, condanniamo la guerra che il governo turco ha unilateralmentedichiarato nel nordest della Siria. Questa guerra non ha alcuna legittima giustificazione, ma è un crimine che sta peggiorando le condizioni della regione in modo grave.
E’un tentativo di invasione che colpisce i risultati di democratizzazione raggiunti dai popoli Curdi, Assiri, Arabi ed altri che vivono insieme pacificamente nel Nordest della Siria. Nel 2012 il processo di liberazione è iniziato in Rojava, la regione a predominanza curda in Siria,edin seguito si è diffuso ad altre parti del Nordest della Siria, portando alla sconfitta dello Stato Islamico (IS). Il modello di autogoverno chiamato ‘Autonomia Democratica’ è basato primariamente sulla liberazione delle donne, sulla democrazia diretta,sulla diversità etnica e religiosa e sui principi ecologici.
E’ sicuramente la più democratica e pacifica regione della Siria dopo8 anni di guerra. Questa regione democratica deve essere difesa da tutte le persone e organizzazioni del mondo se credono che l’opportunità di un cambiamento democratico passi per la difesa della Siria del Nord!I primi due giorni dell’attacco in corso han mostrato che l’esercito turco attacca appositamente anche obiettivi civili e i loro mezzi di sussistenza. Infrastrutture per il rifornimento d’acqua, dighe, centrali elettriche e altre infrastrutture sono state distrutte.
L’intero mondo naturale, che ospita la società umana, è pesantemente impattato dagli attacchi aerei e dell’artiglieria. Dozzine di progetti per una vita ecologica, democratica e di parità di genere, alcuni dei quali avviati grazie alla partecipazione di molte persone internazionali ed organizzazioni della società civile, sono ora minacciati.
Un’altra volta abbiamo sperimentato: la guerra è un crimine contro le persone e la natura.Il popolo curdo sta resistendo all’invasione e tenta di cambiare la demografia della regione con ogni mezzo possibile, ma c’è un forte disequilibrio quando ci si autodifende contro un grosso esercito della NATO. Il ruolo degli Stati Uniti, che ha lasciato il campo alla Turchia per questa guerra brutale, è più che vergognoso, ma anche tutti gli altri stati occidentali,la Russia, ed altri stati regionali, devono essere fortemente criticati.
Se la Guerra del governo turco nel Nordest della Siria, che è chiaramente una violazione del diritto internazionale, non viene fermata, avrà risultati catastrofici e non risolverà alcun problema. Sfidiamo tutte le organizzazioni internazionali e i governi che si dichiarano democratici di esprimersi contro questa guerra.Ci appelliamo a tutte le organizzazioni democratiche ed ecologiche ad alzare le vostre voci per i popoli del Nordest della Siria, unitevi ed organizzate azioni democratiche pubbliche, e chiedete che i politici intraprendano immediatamente tutti i passaggi possibili per impedire questa guerra brutale contro la democrazia e la natura.
